There's not a lot of story with this one. I just saw a koala in a tree surrounded by the little ones that didn't make it in the bushfires a couple of years ago watching over the ones that did, they aren't sad like we are when we think about it, just the same vibe they had before passing, chill.
There is quite a bit of texture in this piece, even under the varnish.
I created this in part from the sadness that an already declining, unique and lovable soul experienced such devastation, to send my love and energy to the little ones that mnade it to recover and the ones that didn't peace, but I felt peace. Maybe that's the way it is with animals, pure innocent souls, that acceptance of what is, is what is.
I originally had it for sale for quite a bit extra as I wanted to make a sizeable dontaion directly to the animal hospitals that care for these little injured babies, without all the 3rd party fees that get taken out before they reach these places by 3rd parties. but it didn't sell.
